the future is green!

I see a world with zero waste, full of green parks and clear skies. A world where tomatoes grow in public, food is plentiful and fresh. Our buildings convert solar radiation into energy which we use to power our trains, classrooms, and our homes. We’ve begun to reforest in the amazon and endangered species are returning to protected sanctuaries. Gasoline is a distant memory of the oldest among us and humanity reaching into the cosmos with an open hand.

I don’t know if i will see this future for myself, but I know I’m going to do everything in my power to lead us there.

There was a quote from my studies that has been passed since Ancient Greece and I believe it’s relevance today is unparalleled .“A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they know they shall never sit.” We are all the old men, because the trees we plant today in society and the economy will grow slowly. The roots of my movement are reaching towards zero waste, Human compassion, connection, and increasingly diverse ecosystems.

Some people will call me crazy, and that’s just fine with me. We are at the most important crossroads in the history of humanity and we have two choices: uphill or down.

We could go down. As we race towards the bottom, heart pumping with adrenaline, we will carve between trees and dive through the canopy. Before too long we will see that we have covered our selves in a darkness that never recedes, a night that never ends.

We can climb. Our first steps will be painful, our ancient aching bones will strain to move, but as we continue, our body will get stronger, our minds will get sharper, and before too long we will climb above the clouds to see that the infinite is before us.

Hemp is our long lost technology, and we are just now beginning to rediscover its potential. A plethora of uses and the plant's ability to aerate soil make it the world's best hope for a future. I am most excited for the innovations and inventions that have yet to be uncovered. We are of this planet and we must protect it.
